FAQs
Should we run a lead-generation campaign, a brand campaign, or both?
If you’re a heavy-duty manufacturer of capex equipment, it's likely you don’t need lead generation; you need to consistently tell your brand story and enable your dealers with the right technical sales information. That’s a good case for both. If you’re a manufacturer of fiberglass pools, RVs, or other luxury leisure products, you’re likely doing a combination of lead generation and brand building. A home services brand, on the other hand, is likely to focus on lead generation and a solid campaign follow-up strategy that resonates with consumers who have a need right now. We’ll work with you to determine the right campaigns and media mix to drive results. Together, we’ll test and measure to calibrate the campaign through time.
How long should an advertising campaign last?
Brand awareness campaigns can last for about 3 to 5 years. Typically, we find that our clients start to think the messaging needs to change more quickly because they are constantly discussing the campaign internally, but brand awareness requires consistent, reliable reinforcement over time to resonate with customers. Lead generation campaigns fatigue more quickly, and we monitor ad campaign performance monthly and quarterly to decide when to adjust the campaign messaging strategy to drive results.
How do you measure the success of an advertising campaign?
If it's a lead generation campaign, we will look at cost per click, cost per impression, and cost per lead. As we work together, we will identify the cost per sale over time and the sources of leads that deliver the best cost per sale. Brand awareness campaigns are more difficult to measure and require a sound commitment to build awareness. We’ll look at measurements such as increases in web traffic, cost per impression, and share of voice, and combine them with perception studies to see how perceptions are changing as a result of advertising efforts.
